SUMMARY:Good to be Green Business Chamber Luncheon 9.19.19
DESCRIPTION:The Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their September luncheon "Good to be Green" on Thursday\, September 19th at the Hilton Garden Inn in Lompoc at 1201 North H Street. The luncheon will be hosted in partnership with the Green Business Program of Santa Barbara County and the Community Environmental Council's kWh Countdown Program.\n\n\n\nThe Green Business Program of Santa Barbara County (GBPSBC) provides resources and assistance to businesses wanting to be green\, certifies businesses through workshops and trainings\, on-site visits and evaluations\, and highlights certified businesses online and at events so that local consumers can shop green. Obtaining green certification not only benefits the environment\, but also expenses as businesses often save money on utility bills. The GBPSBC is part of the California Green Business Program\, a state-wide group supporting and promoting green businesses at the state and national levels. For more information on GBPSBC\, visit www.greenbizsbc.org.\n\n\n\nThe kWh Countdown program provides business owners with the necessary information to invest in energy upgrade projects with confidence through energy auditing and benchmarking services. Comprehensive energy audits will be available to a limited number of Lompoc businesses and are valued at $3\,000 or more\, depending on building size\, but free to selected businesses. These audits will provide in depth analysis of facilities and recommendations for how businesses can improve operations and save money on utility bills. To ensure that businesses receive the highest and utmost quality of energy services on the market\, Abraxas Energy was selected to provide services in Lompoc. Businesses are encouraged to apply at www.kwhcountdown.org. The program is funded by the California Energy Commission.\n\n\n\nRegistration for the luncheon is open now and will close on Friday\, September 13th at 5:00 pm. Cost for the luncheon is $23 for chamber members and $28 for prospective members. Community members can register online on the Event Calendar at www.Lompoc.com or by calling or visiting the chamber.
