Join the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce for a Mixer hosted by the Lompoc Family YMCA on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This special event will take place at the YMCA’s facility located at 201 West College Avenue in Lompoc.
This free event is open to all community members and offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the YMCA’s programs and services, engage in networking opportunities, enjoy healthy snacks and food, participate in raffle giveaways, and tour the facility.
The highlight of the evening will be the Grand Opening of the YMCA’s newly launched Teen Activity Program, a transformative space dedicated to empowering middle and high school students from the Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD). This innovative center offers teens access to state-of-the-art gym equipment, a vibrant teen lounge for relaxation and connection, and a variety of engaging programs facilitated by local small businesses at no cost to students.
The Lompoc Family YMCA, a branch of the Channel Islands YMCA, plays a vital role in the community by providing essential services, including school-age child care at nine local school sites in collaboration with the Lompoc Unified School District. These programs offer working parents a safe haven for their children outside of regular school hours. Additionally, the YMCA will be kicking off its annual campaign in February, with a goal of raising over $110,000 to support these vital community programs.
